An ad-hoc project is a one off study to research a specific topic.  Internet services are usually required for no more than two to three weeks and sometimes only for a matter of days.

Online has run hundreds of ad-hoc Internet surveys including consumer research, staff surveys and business to business studies.  Often this is as a branded service on behalf of a research agency or business consultancy that are providing a broader service to their own clients.

The typical process is as follows:

  • Our client supplies us with a draft or finalised questionnaire(s)
  • We program this into our Internet survey system
  • We apply the appropriate branding
  • Our client and possibly their client review the survey(s)
  • The 'review and refine' cycle continues until everyone is happy
  • If required, we source the respondents to participate in the research
  • We invite the respondents to the survey(s)
  • Our client monitors online and in real-time the progress of the data collection
  • When data collection is complete we take the survey offline.  If appropriate, respondents are rewarded.
  • Final data is available in a variety of formats as well as reports in graph and verbatim formats.
  • Cross tabulations are provided as required.
